The End of the Week---Rest Time

It is about 9:00 PM PDT and I am finally getting around to this blog. It has been a long day even though it has not been a stressful day.

After the chamber today Libby and I got home and ran into the house to escape the 113 degree day. We have been in here ever since. Even the dogs aren't going out. I watched "Spirit" (aka The Little Guy) stick his nose out the "Dog Door" then back up and go hide in the cool dinning room.

Zara, "The Dog Girl" came by and spent the afternoon with us. Both Libby and I love her to death. It is always a real pleasure to have her around. I will probably do a "spot light" on her like I just did Chef Mimi very soon.

So, we are watching "Haven" and just trying to stay cool. Dinner tonight was Salmon Wellington with parsley fingerling potatoes and asparagus. it was wonderful.

We are headed over to Mom's on Sunday to make her a big, homemade Caesar salad for her birthday. She loves what I make and has requested it for her birthday meal. OK, I can do that.

I will write more tomorrow.

I'm glad you and Libby had a nice day with Zara. Your dinner sounds good. Well, except for the asparagus. I know that your mother is looking forward to you making her a caesar salad. I had an email from her and she mentioned it to me.. Stay in today and try to keep cool. Be happy that you don't have to contend with the humidity that we have here.
